India and Pakistan CWC 2023 match is officially re-scheduled
India and Pakistan have been archrivals in Cricket from a long time. While England and Australia are regarded as long time rivals. India and Pakistan clashes have now been resorted to Cricket World Cups or Asia Cup. Due to the political animosity both the countries stopped playing each other, regularly. India and Pakistan are scheduled to now play in Asian Games, Asia Cup and CWC 2023.
Pakistan have been back and forth with Asia Cup being moved to Sri Lanka. After scheduling Asia Cup, Pakistan did state their objection and ACC is discussing the tournament schedule. Now, India had to change the CWC 2023 scheduled India vs Pakistan match on 15th October. The match has been scheduled to be played on Dussehra day in Ahmedabad. Police have stated that they cannot give enough protection for match to be held. Hence, BCCI proposed India vs Pakistan match to be held on an another day.
ICC agreed for changing the date and venue, if needed. BCCI proposed 14th October date on same venue. PCB and ICC both agreed for that date. Pakistan vs Sri Lanka will be now played on 10th October and not on 12th October. India and Pakistan match has been now re-scheduled to be held on 14th October. Pakistan will get time to prepare because they will have 3 day period. The tickets for the match will soon be available stated BCCI. India vs Pakistan will be looked closely as never India lost to Pak in CWC ODI format. Recently, Virat Kohli played his greatest knock in T20I format for India win against Pakistan in CWC T20I.
