Ingredients of Tok Dal (Bengali-Style Raw Mango Dal)
- 1/2 Cup Masoor dal
- 1 Raw mango, deskinned, deseeded and sliced
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 Whole red chilli
- 1-2 Green Chillies
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Salt and sugar, as per taste
- 1-2 tsp Mustard Oil
How to Make Tok Dal (Bengali-Style Raw Mango Dal)
1.Boil the masoor dal with some salt, turmeric powder and green chilli. Keep aside.
2.Heat mustard oil in kadhai and add red chilli and mustard seeds. Let it splutter.
3.Add the mango slices, sugar, some salt and mix. Add a little water and close the lid to let it soften.
4.Add the dal and boil for some time. Adjust salt and sugar as per your taste.
