AP High Court reserves judgement on Nara Chandrababu Naidu quash petition

AP High Court has invited arguments on Nara Chandrababu Naidu quash petition. Supreme Court lawyers Harish Salve and Siddharth Luthra have argued for Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the court. AAG has argued against him for CID. Both the parties have made their arguments on 19th September for whole day. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has submitted quash petition to strike off CID anti-corruption case against him.
Ex-CM of Andhra Pradesh has been arrested by CID for his involvement in AP Skill Development Scam. He has been alleged to have misused funds amounting about Rs.341 crores. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by ACB Court. CID officials have asked court permission to inquire him about the details about Siemens Group and the funds. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has asked court to dismiss the case and release him immediately. After hearing to their arguments, AP High Court has reserved their judgement for two days.

His lawyers have stated that CID has discounted 17(A) section in this case. According to them, 17(A) section should be included and court should dismiss the case as they have not taken it into consideration. Also, Harish Salve stated that in this case proofs and fails have been destroyed. They have stated that Nara Chandrababu Naidu should not have been arrested and this case is inappropriate. CID lawyers have stated that they need to inquire Nara Chandrababu Naidu further and he needs to be in remand further. Popular leader and Chairman of TDP, is currently in Rajahmundry Central Jail.
